Neil R. Sood, DO
Dr. Neil Sood was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. As a high-energy kid, his parents enrolled him in nearly every sport imaginable—including tennis, baseball, soccer, football, and golf. During his freshman year at Florida State University, he had the unforgettable experience of watching his school win the BCS National Championship in football. He went on to study Exercise Physiology at Florida State, where his fascination with the relationship between structure and function truly began to take shape.
Drawn to a hands-on, holistic approach to care, Dr. Sood earned his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed his Family Medicine residency at UT Health San Antonio, where he served as Academic Chief Resident. During residency, he developed a strong commitment to whole-person care and found particular fulfillment in helping patients regain strength, mobility, and confidence through evidence-based, movement-focused treatment. For Dr. Sood, Sports Medicine is a natural extension of his desire to help people stay active and connected to the things they love.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Sood enjoys staying active—whether lifting weights at the gym, playing pickleball, or planning his next travel adventure. He continues to appreciate the energy, clarity, and community that an active lifestyle and regular exercise can provide. Dr. Sood lives with his fiancée, Meera, and their energetic dog, Ollie.
