Salary and Benefits

Effective July 1, 2026

• PGY-1: $60,788.49
• PGY-2: $63,128.35
• PGY-3: $65,270.53

• PGY-1: Step 3*
• PGY-2: $500
• PGY-3: Board Prep/Exam*

*As a condition of reimbursement, resident must provide scores/results of exams.

Vacation: 15 days per year

Sick/Wellness: 6 days per year

Educational Time:

• PGY-1: 2 days
• PGY-2: 3 days
• PGY-3: 5 days

Insurance Coverage

• Life Insurance – equal to annual stipend
• Health and Dental – full medical coverage provided by CHRISTUS Spohn
• Malpractice Insurance – provided by CHRISTUS Spohn (excludes moonlighting)

• Matriculation bonus of $2,500
