Inpatient Rehabilitation
Reclaim Your Strength and Independence
Recovery can feel overwhelming. But you don’t have to face it alone.
In a space made for healing, you’re surrounded by people who care — helping you rebuild strength, regain independence, and move forward, one step at a time. With 24/7 support and therapy designed around your needs, you’ll never have to wonder if someone’s there. They already are.
Is Inpatient Rehab Right for You?
Inpatient rehabilitation is designed for people who have experienced a major illness, injury, or surgery and need intensive therapy to recover. You may benefit from inpatient rehab if you:
- Have difficulty walking, speaking, or caring for yourself after a stroke or serious accident
- Need medical supervision and therapy multiple times a day
- Are transitioning from a hospital stay but aren’t yet ready to return home
Common conditions we treat include:
- Stroke
- Brain injury
- Spinal cord injury
- Amputation
- Multiple trauma
- Neurological disorders (e.g., Parkinson’s, MS)
- Orthopedic surgeries (e.g., hip or knee replacement)
- Prolonged illness or deconditioning
Inpatient rehab provides the structure, support, and intensity needed to help you regain independence and confidence.
What to Expect in Inpatient Rehab
Each day in inpatient rehab, you’ll participate in about three hours of therapy, five days a week. This schedule is proven to support faster and more complete recovery. Therapies are tailored to your needs and may include:
- Physical Therapy – to improve strength, balance, and mobility
- Occupational Therapy – to help with daily tasks like dressing, cooking, or bathing
- Speech-Language Pathology – to assist with communication, memory, or swallowing challenges
You’ll receive 24/7 nursing care, and a rehabilitation doctor will oversee your medical plan and check on your progress regularly. Meals, medication management, and rest are all integrated into your routine to keep you comfortable and safe.
Most patients stay in a private or semi-private room with access to a dedicated therapy gym. Visiting hours allow family and friends to be part of your healing journey.

Frequently Asked Questions
A physician's referral is required. Your hospital care team can help you request a referral. You or a family member can also contact our rehab team to begin the process.
Most health insurance plans cover inpatient rehab if certain medical criteria are met. Our team will verify your coverage and help you understand any out-of-pocket costs.
Your length of stay in inpatient rehab will depend on your medical condition, therapy goals, and how quickly you progress. Some patients stay a few days, while others may need several weeks of care and therapy to regain function and independence.
For instance, a person recovering an infection that caused significant weakness may stay just long enough to rebuild basic mobility and self-care skills. Someone who has experienced a brain injury, complex surgery, or multiple traumas may need a longer stay to address more intensive physical, cognitive, or functional challenges.
From day one, your care team will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan. They’ll assess your abilities, track your improvement, and adjust your therapies as needed. Each week, your team meets to review your progress and determine the safest, most effective timeline for your discharge.
You and your loved ones will always be kept informed, with the goal of helping you return home — or move to the next level of care — safely, confidently, and at the right time for your recovery.

Your case manager and therapists will help create a discharge plan. This might include home therapy, outpatient services, or equipment you need at home. We work with you and your family to make the transition smooth.
